Join us for an unforgettable event in a protected, calm area off the southern zone of Durban’s Bay of Plenty, starting and finishing on the beach in front of the Durban Beach Club. You are likely to be treated to a breathtaking sunrise before the 5km swimmers start the action at 7am. Each stroke you take helps us combat plastic pollution and support Breathe Conservation. Together, we’ll make a splash for a cleaner ocean!
Course Maps:
There are three different race course with the 800m swimmers swimming a short route close to the start / finish area, heading north and turning in front of uShaka Marine World/
The 1.6km and 3.2km swimmers will swim the same route, with the longer event doing two laps of this course. This course will also take swimmers north from the start / finish area, turning just north of Marine Lifesaving Club.
The 5km entrants will swim a 2-lap course, consisting of one long lap and alap of the 1.6km course.
The southern turning points for all routes will be off shore from the start / finish area.
